Steve Leonardis for Los Gatos Town Council

Steve Leonardis is running for Los Gatos Town Council in the 2010 election.
My name is Steve Leonardis, and I’m passionate about Los Gatos and the things that make it a great place to live.

That’s why I coach our youth, work on town cultural events, assist with school programs, support our Police Foundation, and completed Leadership Los Gatos.

That’s why I also participate in council and commission meetings to speak on issues ranging from our children’s well being to protecting our hillsides and why I have the support of numerous civic leaders including Mike Wasserman, Joanne Benjamin, and Sandy Decker.

I've lived in Los Gatos for 20 years and witnessed positive changes, but we’re facing major challenges that may significantly affect our quality of life.

The development of the North Forty and vacant car dealership properties will be decided by our next council, and these decisions must be given considerable thought.

My other priorities include affordable housing for seniors, youth recreational facilities, keeping our downtown vibrant and clean, and emphasizing environmentally sensitive projects.

I have two children in elementary school and want them to love Los Gatos when they grow up as much as my wife Mary and I do.

I pledge to build consensus and make informed decisions that maintain our small town heritage.

I sincerely thank you for your vote, and for your trust. I will work to keep our town a place that is loved by those who visit us, and by those who reside here.
